This site is very cool. I recommend everyone to try using it for at least one day. You do have to download a toolbar for it but still worth it. After you download the toolbar you will choose some categories that suit your interest. After that you are ready to go, you hit the Stumbleupon button and you will be exploring new sites that you have probably never seen before. If you like the site you give it a thumbs up and if you dont you give it a thumbs down. Great for someone who is looking for new sites and has a couple of extra minutes per day.

Stumbleupon is also very good for advertisers as well, for a company like mine nobrainedeals.com it is very hard to find good leads and feedback. Stumbleupon offers both. They will deliver a new visitor to your site that is interested in your category for $.05 a visitor. You are able to see if the viewer likes your site by giving you a thumbs up or a thumbs down if they dont. I have found Stumbleupon very affordable and honest with the traffic that they have brought to my site and would recommend it to all.

Here is another rating site where you can share with others what you think of the site. Like most other rating sites it requires for you to download a tool bar so that you can rate sites that you come across. The only thing this site has going for it is the simple design and ability to see what other users are doing so freely.

If you have sometime to check out this event it sounds pretty interesting. Will be held in NY 6/19 - 6/22 or Miami Oct 8 - 10.

Redirect Traffic

For years now people have been using redirect traffic. The concept is pretty easy, buy a new or old domain that will get traffic. Then redirect those users from the other domain to your domain.

For example for the longest time I had thought that Blockbuster video's homepage was blockbusteronline.com. If you go to blockbusteronline.com you will see that it redirects you to goldencasino.com

There are many companies out there that can offer you this service. I found used a couple to promote more traffic to my site but that is all that it did. I got a lot more traffic but not to many returning visitors or more sales.

Since I did not get a lot of returning visitors I am considering for our next marketing campaign to buy the domain names themselves. Since nowadays you can buy domains for $5 for the first year I dont see that I have much to loose. For example if you ever type Gooogle with three o's it still comes up. If we are creative enough we might be able to get a domain like blockbusteronline.com which brings them free visitors everyday for doing nothing.

Hot or Not

I used to come to this site all the time a couple of years ago and haven't really looked at it since.

This site is run by two people out of their living room. It is pretty interesting and simple. When you go onto the site you simple rate person as hot or not. You choose between 1 (not hot) to 10 which is (hot).

They have added some new features

1. You can chat with friends on how you are rating people
2. There is section where you can "meet people" You are able to narrow your selection down by sexual preference, sex, age and location

Pretty fun site you have some time to kill at the office

A social network site that is similar to Myspace but offers much easier way to edit and add your personal site. After playing with the demo site they have it seems like it is more geared toward teenagers and young adults. Adding html to your site is very easy with just a few clicks you have your html added to your site with ease.

Egnyte.com had a booth at the Web 2.0 conference. What they have to offer is ability to share files online to your friends/co-workers and to be able to access them from anywhere.

What I like about their service is that you can have multiple offices and have the ability to share your work with others. Also being able to access your files anywhere is great. You can even upload your Outlook emails to it directly and even add tags for more search results.
